A stroll around Santa Cruz de la Palma is definitely a trip back in time! This picturesque town is the capital of La Palma in the Canary Islands and a true palette of colours. It won’t take long to realise this town has a Caribbean feel, and this makes sense as it used to be one of the main ports linking Europe to the New World. The glorious past can still be seen in the historical centre, with the impressive architecture and the colourful wooden houses. After spending a morning in the city centre, I had the pleasure of visiting one of its oldest buildings. It is a wonderfully restored and beautifully furnished old house, with a priceless art collection.
